![]() ![]() Rey is then drawn by the force to a secluded vault, where she finds the lightsaber that was once used by Anakin Skywalker as well as Luke. The Falcon arrives at Takodana and the heroes meet Maz Kanata, who offers her assistance in getting BB-8 back to the Resistance. Onboard the Falcon, Han informs Rey and Finn that Luke tried to rebuild the Jedi Order, but exiled himself when one of his pupils turned to the dark side and destroyed everything. Snoke also talks to Kylo about his loyalty to him, and that the map is now in the possesion of his father, who turns out to be Han. Meanwhile on Ilum, which has been transformed into the First Order's secret weapon: the Starkiller Base, Kylo and General Armitage Hux speak with Supreme Leader Snoke, Kylo's master and leader of the First Order, of the current situation. But two gangs who Han owes money to board his ship, and after unleashing deadly Rathtars onto them, they manage to escape on the Falcon. ![]() The Falcon is soon discovered and boarded by Han Solo and Chewbacca, and the two groups of heroes meet. But the First Order spots them and attempts to gun them down until they unknowingly come across the legendary Millenium Falcon, start it up, take down the fighters, and leave Jakku. ![]() Finn survives the crash-landing and beleives that Poe is dead, so he wanders the desert until he comes across Rey and BB-8 in the junkyard. Meanwhile, a young scavenger named Rey, who is living off of rations aquired by pieces of scrap from a mass graveyard of Rebel and Imperial craft, comes across BB-8. As Poe starts calling FN-2187 "Finn",they grab a TIE fighter, and barely manage to survive as they are shot down, and crash land back on Jakku. One stormtrooper, labled FN-2187, is highly distraught by the actions of his comrades, and decides to defect from the First Order and break Poe out. Poe gives BB-8 the map and orders him to leave as he stays behind to fend off the stormtroopers before he is subdued and captured by Kylo Ren, one of the leaders of the First Order. Poe's droid BB-8 warns him that the First Order, a mysterious, dangerous force forged from remnants of the Empire, is landing in the village to commence a raid/massacre to get the map. The story begins on the junkyard, desert planet of Jakku where Resistance pilot Poe Dameron is given a map that shows the location of Luke Skywalker, who vanished a few years ago. The newbies are repped by Rey (Daisy Ridley), a desert scavenger abandoned by her family on Jukku Finn (John Boyega), an AWOL stormtrooper with little taste for killing and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), a pilot working for Leia, a princess turned general who now leads the Resistance.Lets continue the Star Wars Saga with a new generation of heroes guided by heroes of old to face off against a new threat to the galaxy. It’s great that Chewbacca, C3Po and R2D2 look exactly the same. Our heroes have a little age on them, they being Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Princess Leia ( Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo ( Harrison Ford). Star Wars: The Force Awakens is basically an updated remake of Star Wars: A New Hope, the 1977 Lucas original that changed the face of movie space epics and made us all one with the Force. Abrams who sweeps us out of the black hole of George’s Lucas’ trilogy of paralyzingly dull Star Wars prequels and into a brave new world. So let out a Wookiee roar for director J.J. It’s everything the kid in us goes to the movies for - marvelous adventure that leaves us surprised, scared and euphoric. Star Wars: The Force Awakens, number seven in the series for those who wouldn’t know a Jedi from a Jar Jar, emerges bloody with unrealistic expectations but gloriously unbowed. ![]()
